The release date for Egyptian actor Amr Youssef's new film “Shaqo” (Brothers) has been unveiled.
The film is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid Al-Fitr movie marathon.
The cast also includes Yousra, Mohamed Mamdouh, Dina El Sherbiny Amina Khalil, Abbas Abul-Hassan, and more.
The film is scripted by Wissam Sabri and helmed by Karim El Sobky.
“Shaqo” marks the fifth collaboration between El Sherbiny and Youssef after the 2012 TV series "Taraf Talet", the 2016 TV series "Grand Hotel", the 2017 TV series "Asham Iblis", and the 2016 film "Kedbet Kol Youm".
Moreover, the actor is set to return for the long-awaited third outing in the franchise, "Welad Rizk 3: El Qadya" (Sons of Rizk 3: The Knockout).
Sayed Ragab will reprise his role as Ma'alem Sakr and Asser Yassin will reappear as Al Shayeb in the installment.
Yassin will have more screen time for the character in preparation for the "Welad Rizk" spin-off film "Al Shayeb" (The King). The film was first announced in 2019 in the post-credit scene of "Welad Rizk 2".
It also features Eyad Nasser returning for the film as well as features Maged El Kedwany making a cameo appearance.
"Welad Rizk" first premiered in 2015 and hails from screenwriter Salah El Gehiny and director Tarek Alarian.
The film features an all-star ensemble cast that includes Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawood, Karim Qassem, Mohamed Mamdouh, and Ahmed El Fishawy.
