Egyptian actor Amr Saad will no longer participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
Saad was initially set to participate in the marathon with the series “Sidi Makeen” but was postponed to Ramadan 2025.
The series is scripted by Hisham Hilal and produced by Anwar Al-Sabah.
“Sidi Makeen” is set in a historical era and features Saad portraying a character named Makin Al-Asmar.
The project is set to be the biggest budget TV production in the drama marathon.
Saad participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Al Aghar".
It also starred Dorra, Sayed Ragab, Anoushka, Amr Abdul Gelil, Ahmed Magdy, Ahmed Safwat, Nour El-Nabawy, Arefa Abdel-Rasoul, Sarah Salama, Nahed El-Sebaei, Khaled Zaki, Mohamed Qabil, and others.
The series is scripted by Melouk Workshop, directed by Yasser Samy, and produced by Anwar Al-Sabah.
Saad, born on November 26, 1977, in Al Sayeda Zainab neighborhood, graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts.
He began his artistic career in the late 1990s with "Shahin", followed by the film "Al Madina" by Yusra Nasrallah, and then appeared in the short film "Ten Pounds".
Saad landed his first major acting role in the 2006 film "Kheyana Mashroa" (Legitimate Betrayal).
