Amr Saad to Participate in Ramadan 2027 Drama Marathon

Egyptian actor Amr Saad is preparing for a new TV series, which he plans to participate in during the Ramadan 2027 drama marathon.

The untitled project hails from Synergy and was locked in after intensive negotiations.

​Synergy has allocated a massive budget for the series to ensure it delivers the heavy-hitting, cinematic quality that both the banner and Saad are known for.

Although details remain scarce, the series is already positioned as one of the most highly anticipated, high-budget productions of the drama marathon.

Saad participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Efrag".

Ahmed Khaled Mousa directs the series from a script by Naser Abd Elrahman. Cedars Art Production (Sabbah Brothers) is the studio behind the drama.

The official logline for the series reads: "After 15 years behind bars, Abbas El Rayyes walks free—stained with the blood of his family. With his cousin’s help, he seeks redemption, only to confront a world far darker than his prison cell."

Along with Saad, the cast also stars Tara Emad, Nahed Elsebai, Hatem Salah, Abdulaziz Makhyoon, Samaa Ibrahem, Mohsen Mansour, Gehad Hossam El Din, Ahmed Abdelhamid, Omar El Saeed, Donia Maher, Alaa Morsy, Passant Shawky, and more.

"Efrag" is set to screen on the MBC Group and Shahid during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon. Check the trailer for the series below.
