World-renowned Egyptian soprano Amira Selim will participate in a grand ceremony in Paris under the auspices of the Egyptian Embassy in France on July 9.
The ceremony celebrates a century of diplomatic relations between Egypt and France.
Selim will also participate in the celebrations of the Egyptian National Day by presenting the Egyptian and French national anthems at the beginning of the ceremony at La Salle Gaveau; one of the most prominent theaters in France.
About her participation in this ceremony, the soprano said, "I'm proud to be part of the Egyptian National Day celebrations through presenting the Egyptian and French national anthems on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Egyptian-French relations in one of the most prestigious music halls in the heart of Paris.".
"I didn't think twice when the Egyptian Embassy in Paris invited me to represent my country, Egypt, in such a fabulous celebration," she added.
The ceremony attendees will include several Egyptian and French public figures, government officials, representatives of the French Parliament, representatives of major companies, business communities, and media, foreign ambassadors accredited to France and international organizations in Paris, and Egyptian community members.
This is not Selim's first time taking part in an event of this significance, She has previously presented at several Egyptian National Day celebrations at the Egyptian Embassy in Paris and the French National Day celebrations in Cairo.
