Amir Karara Gets Candid About Acting Career and Plans to Take on Fewer Acting Roles

TV host Asma Ibrahim's program “Hebr Sri” broadcast on Tuesday, the second part of her interview with actor Amir Karara, in which he got candid on his acting career and future plans in showbiz.

Karara affirmed that he would not retire from acting at the current stage, but he decided to take on fewer acting roles and reject any work that harms his image in front of his family, even if it would nominate him for an Oscar.

Karara can be seen in the TV series “Beit Al Refai”, which is currently screening during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.

The cast also stars Sayed Ragab, Ahmed Rizk, Amr Wahba, Myrna Noureldin, Enas Kamel, Malak Koura, and more.

Ahmed Nader Galal directed from a script by Peter Mimi, Hind Abdullah, and Amr Abu Zeid. Synergy is the studio behind the series.

Karara participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Souq Canto" (Canto Market).

The cast also includes Mai Ezz El Din, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, Kamal Abu Rayya, and more. Hani Sarhan directed the series from a script by Hussein El Menbawy.

Set in 1950s Egypt, "Souq Canto" follows courageous Taha dealing with old family vendettas and greed for money as he navigates the fierce competition in Souq El Canto.

 Karara, born on October 10, 1977, has a degree in tourism from Cairo University. He rose to fame through hosting television contest shows like “Star Maker” and “The Deal”.

Moreover, he played in the national volleyball team, in a lot of national and international games.

Karara is known for his roles in TV series such as “Shabab Al Hawa” (Guys Online), “Lahazat Hariga” (The Egyptian version of ER), “Taraf Talit” (Third Party) “Taht El Ard” (Underground), and “kalabsh” trilogy.
