Egyptian-British actor Amir El-Masry has been cast in season 2 of the hit Paramount+ series "The Agency".

El-Masry, who can soon be seen starring as Prince Naseem Hamed in "Giant" opposite Pierce Brosnan, will play the recurring role of Saeed, an intelligence officer from the United Arab Emirates.

No more detail was forthcoming on his role. The news comes with cameras having rolled in London on "The Agency" Season 2, which is titled "The Agency: Central Intelligence."

Season 2 of "The Agency" will continue following Martian (Michael Fassbender), a CIA agent living undercover in his own life.

Samia (Jodie Turner-Smith), his partner, is a political prisoner in Sudan and he will do anything to try and save her, even past the point of treachery.

The only way out is deeper in, which is a knife edge Martian must walk if he is to save love, life, and his mission.

El-Masry broke out in hit indie pic "Limbo" in 2020 and he was then cast as a young Mohamed Al-Fayed in Netflix’s "The Crown". Other credits include "Vigil" and Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light. "Giant," in which he plays the lead, will be one of his biggest roles yet, and Vertical recently acquired U.S. rights.

El-Masry joins the likes of Jeffrey Wright, Katherine Waterston, Harriet Sansom Harris, John Magaro, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Andrew Brooke, India Fowler, Reza Brojerdi, Alex Reznik and Richard Gere in "The Agency".

Tony-winner Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari, Edge of Tomorrow) return as writers and executive producers for Season 2 and the show is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.

Based on French series "The Bureau," "The Agency" was a big hit for Paramount+ (then Showtime) late last year and was swiftly recommissioned after its first two episodes racked up a record 5.1M global “viewers” on streaming and linear, according to Paramount.
