The Chinese ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang said on Monday that China attaches great importance to COVID-19 vaccines' effectiveness, and strictly adheres to the their quality.
In a joint press conference with Egypt's Health Minister Hala Zayed, the Chinese Ambassador added that China's 'Sinopharm' vaccine has proven to be effective without no side effects.
Moreover, Liao hailed the excellent and deep ties between Cairo and Beijing, especially in times of crisis, such as COVID-19 pandemic.
"China is a reliable friend and partner of Egypt," he stressed.
On her part, Zayed affirmed that the Egyptian-Chinese relations have witnessed further cooperation and coordination under the leadership of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
The Egyptian minister also pointed out that Egypt has received 600,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine so far.
