Egyptian superstar Amal Maher is back with a brand-new single and its visual, “Bagi Bel Horreya”, on YouTube and digital music platforms.
Released on Monday, the tune is by the lyrics of Nour Abdallah and composed by Mostafa Al Assal. The visual is directed by Bassam El Turk.
Throughout her new song, Maher has launched her latest musical venture, signaling a distinct shift toward more complex artistic compositions.
"Bagi Bel Horreya" underscores the superstar's growing musical maturity, favoring intricate arrangements and poignant lyrical themes over commercial trends.
Amidst a contemporary market heavily dominated by fast-paced, transient hits, Maher’s deliberate selection of this material reaffirms her branding as a purveyor of "quality music."
The tune not merely as a addition to her existing discography, but as a strategic statement.
"Bagi Bel Horreya" serves as a testament to the enduring market demand for refined art, proving that audiences continue to actively seek out sincere lyricism and authentic melodies.
Born on February 19, 1985, Maher began singing as a child by presenting songs by iconic singer Umm Kulthum.
She was discovered at the age of fifteen and enrolled at the Conservatory of Arabic Music to begin her singing career.
The acclaimed singer soon met composer Mohamed Diae, whom she eventually married and became the father of her son, Omar. She filed for divorce a year later.
She recorded her first song in 2006 and received the support of Egyptian music icon Ammar El Sherei, whom she considers to be her spiritual father.
In June 2021, Maher quit music following the death of her close-knit aunt and called off her engagement, but later on, she backtracked from her decision and presented her first concert in Al-Alamein on July 29, 2022.
