Vertical Entertainment released Thursday the trailer for Katie Holmes' rom-com movie "Alone Together".
The rom-com is written, directed, and stars Holmes.
The movie follows a woman (Holmes) getting trapped in an AirBNB with a total stranger just as a pandemic force the world into isolation.
The footage introduced June (Holmes), a young woman who feels trapped in the obligations of everyday life. It depicted her happy moments with her boyfriend John (Derek Luke) as well as the pressure of meeting everyone else’s expectations.
The trailer also featured her plans of going upstate for a short romantic getaway with John to escape the pandemic in New York City go wrong and instead being forced to share a double-booked AirBnb with a total stranger, Charlie (Jim Sturgess).
Away from their family and friends, June and Charlie begin to count on each other to get the support they need to face lockdown, and soon they begin to fall in love, making June rethink her whole life and figure out if she even wants to return to her boyfriend when she gets back home.
