A wave of sorrow has swept through the Lebanese and Arab artistic community following the announcement of the death of Hali Rahbani, the youngest son of iconic singer Fairuz.
His passing comes just months after the death of his brother, renowned composer and musician Ziad Rahbani, in July.
The funeral of Heli Rahbani will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of Our Lady of the Dormition in the Mohaydeth area of Bikfaya.
He will be laid to rest in the family tomb inside the same church that previously hosted the farewell ceremonies for his late brother Ziad.
The Church of Our Lady of the Dormition will open its doors to mourners ahead of the funeral.
The Rahbani family will receive condolences starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday in the church hall in Mohaydeth, where friends, artists, and admirers are expected to gather to pay their respects.
Lebanese media reports stated that Rahbani, born in 1958, had lived with intellectual and physical disabilities since birth.
His death comes only months after the passing of Ziad Rahbani on July 26, 2025. Ziad’s first birthday following his death fell on January 1 of this year, deepening the sense of loss felt by the family and the cultural community.
Lebanon’s Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, mourned Hali Rahbani in a message posted on his official account on X.
