CAIRO, Aug 5 (SEE) - Alexandria University and the Ocean County College in the US state of New Jersey signed on Sunday a cooperation protocol to activate the community colleges system in Egypt.
President of Alexandria University Essam El Kurdi said the agreement inked in the US comes against the backdrop of a similar one signed by the Supreme Council of Universities and the Ocean County College to implement the community colleges system in the country, according to a statement cited by MENA news agency.
"The system allows students to obtain a certificate after two years of study and complete their studies at Alexandria University or one of the US universities for another two years," he added.
"According to the agreement, the students will receive three certificates from the Ocean County College, Alexandria University and one of the US universities that have agreements with the Ocean County College, such as the College of New Jersey," he clarified.
"The students will have the chance to complete their post-graduate studies at the US universities," he added.
