Alexander Skarsgård (The Northman, Big Little Lies), Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction, Desperately Seeking Susan), and Trew Mullen (Blink Twice) have joined the cast of the Charli XCX-led and produced the movie "The Moment" from A24.

The mockumentary pic follows the life of a pop star in the lead-up to her first headline arena tour. The Moment gives an inside look at the inner workings of the music industry and explores how subculture is mutated by commercial success.

Skarsgård is said to be playing a fashionable European creative, Arquette as a record label boss, and Mullen as XCX's personal assistant.

Aidan Zamirim, who co-wrote the script with Bertie Brandes, will make his directorial debut. A.G. Cook will serve as the dark comedy’s composer.

David Hinojosa is producing through his production company 2AM for A24. Brandon Creed, Mikey Schwartz-Wright, and Zach Nutman are executive producing.

Emmy Award-winner Skarsgard will next appear in the Apple TV+ series "Murderbot", premiering on May 16. He will portray the titular sentient security android.

In December, he surprised fans of his popular HBO series "True Blood" by bringing back his character Eric Northman in the final season of FX’s comedy series "What We Do in the Shadows". Other notable credits include "The Northman", "Lee", "Godzilla vs. Kong", "Zoolander", and "The Legend of Tarzan" on the big screen and TV, HBO’s "Big Little Lies", for which he received an Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Prime Video’s "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", and HBO’s "Succession".

Arquette is best known for starring in multiple fan-favorite projects on the big and small screen including Quentin Tarantino’s "Pulp Fiction", "Desperately Seeking Susan", opposite Madonna, and the Griffin Dunne-led "After Hours", to name a few. Her recent credits include Apple’s "Presumed Innocent", Netflix’s "Florida Man", and ABC’s "Big Sky".

Mullen broke out with her role as Heather in Zoë Kravitz’s cult hit directorial debut "Blink Twice" for Amazon/MGM, opposite Channing Tatum, Naomi Ackie, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osmont, Christian Slater, and Alia Shawkat.
