The Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science (ALECSO) selected Egyptian artist Yahya Al-Fakharany as the 2025 Arab Cultural Icon.
This organization selected Al-Fakharany due to his outstanding contributions to the fields of art and Arab culture.
Throughout his long career, he played a pivotal role in promoting Arab cultural identity and continued to create works that have inspired generations, making him one of the most prominent figures in Egyptian and Arab art.
The Minister of Culture Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano received an official letter from the organization to praise the celebrated character.
The Minister of Culture congratulated Al-Fakharany on this honor, which reflects the Arab world's appreciation for his cultural and artistic contributions.
The Minister of Culture stated: “The selection of Dr. Yahya Al-Fakharany as one of the Arab cultural icons is an international acknowledgment of the status of Egyptian and Arab artists in the field of culture and arts. It highlights Egypt's prominent role in enriching cultural and artistic life in the Arab world and underscores the importance of soft power in fostering communication between nations.”
On his side, ALESCO Director-General Dr. Ahmed Weld Omar congratulated Egypt, and praised its leadership, government, and people.
