The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) has appointed Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of Sharjah Art Foundation, as Extraordinary Ambassador for Arab Culture for 2025–2026. The appointment recognizes her outstanding contributions to promoting contemporary art and fostering intercultural dialogue regionally and globally.
The official appointment ceremony took place at Africa Hall in Sharjah, where ALECSO Director-General Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar presented Sheikha Hoor with the official insignia and certificate.
In her address, Sheikha Hoor expressed gratitude for the honor, emphasizing the vital role of culture in building human values and sustainable development, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.
Dr. Ould Amar praised Sheikha Hoor’s leadership and commitment to creativity and dialogue, noting that her appointment highlights the UAE’s influential cultural role across the Arab world and beyond.
