He was accompanied by General Mohamed Osman Al Hussein and the leader of the eastern military district General Ahmadan Mohamed Khair El Awad alongside a number of high-ranked military leaders.

The reason for this visit was the latest violations by the Ethiopian militants and troops on the Sudanese-Ethiopian boarders that left behind a number of victims.

On Thursday, the Sudanese army announced that it sent large reinforcements to the border with Ethiopia after the killing of a number of its soldiers, according to the Al-Arabiya News website.

In a statement, the Sudanese army said that Khartoum lodged a complaint with the African Union (AU) and the “IGAD” organization on the Ethiopian attacks.

“Contacts are underway with Addis Ababa to stop the attacks by Ethiopian militias and forces,” the army said, stressing: “We will strongly confront any military attempts to penetrate our borders.”
