Ambassador Ajit Gupte has assumed the charge of Ambassador of India to Egypt on 10th March 2021 in succession to Ambassador Rahul Kulshreshth who completed his tour of duty on 28th February 2021.
Gupte was previously Ambassador of India to Denmark from September 2017 to March 2021. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1991.
Gupte is married to Mrs. Priti Gupte and they have a daughter.
