Tunisian actress Aïcha Ben Ahmed is joining hands for the first time with Egyptian actor Ahmed Mekky in the TV series “Ain Shams”.
The drama hails from director Ahmed Saleh and reunites Mekky with scriptwriter Hani Sarhan. They worked together for the first time on season 2 of the critically acclaimed TV series “El Ekhteyar ll” (The Choice 2) in 2021.
"Ain Shams" is produced by Synergy production company and witnesses Mekky stepping away from the comedy hit TV series “Al-Kabir Awy”.
“Ain Shams” consists of 15 episodes and is set to debut in the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
Ben Ahmed participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Bedoun Sabk Enzar”, starring Asser Yassin, while Mekky returned for season 8 of “Al-Kabir Awy”.
Ben Ahmed, born on February 7, 1989, began her career through dancing in the Sihem Belkhodja group before studying graphic art and publicity at the Ecole d'Art et de Décoration in Tunis.
She made her acting career in 2010, taking a small part in Nada Mezni Hafaiedh's feature film "Histoires Tunisiennes".
In 2015, Ben Ahmed landed her first acting gig in Egypt in Raouf Abdel Aziz's TV series "Les Mille et Une Nuits". She had been specially selected to play the role of Qamar Zamen, an amnesiac who tried to establish her identity.
