Egyptian actor Ahmed Salah Hosny has recently joined the cast of Lebanese singer-actress Haifa Wehbe's TV series "Bi 100 Dahab".
The drama, initially titled "Jawhara", consists of 30 episodes and hails from scriptwriter Tamer Abdelmonem and director Morcous Adel. Al-Haram Art Production is the studio behind the series.
It will be shoot in several countries, including Egypt, Cyprus, London, and Beirut.
"Bi 100 Dahab" is slated to screen during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon and marks the Lebanese star’s comeback to the drama marathon after six years of absence. She made her last participation in the marathon with the 2018 TV series "Lanet Karma".
Salah Hosny participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Raheel".
The cast also includes Yasmine Sabri, Mohamed Kelany, Samaa Ibrahem, Ahmed Beder, Ahmad Seyam, Ezzat Zain, Hager Al Sharnouby, Arefa Abdul Rasoul, Mai El Kady, and more.
It is scripted by Mohamed Abdel Moati, directed by Ibrahim Fakhr, and produced by Phenomena Media Production.
The series consists of 15 episodes and marked the third collaboration between Sabri and Abdel Moati after working on 2019’s "Hekayti" and 2016’s "Al-Ostora" as well as the second between the actress and Salah Hosny on the 2019 show.
Hosny, born on 11 July 1979, started as a soccer player in the Al Ahly club. In 2008, he retired from soccer and started composing music for singers like Mohamed Hamaqy and Amr Dia.
In 2012, he made his acting debut in the TV series "Sharbat Loaz".
