Egyptian singer-actor Ahmed Saad has provided an update on his health after he was involved in a frightening car crash.

In an Instagram video posted on Sunday, Saad said, “I want to reassure all my beloved fans and thank them a thousand times for asking about me. I'm fine and in a great blessing from God. I don’t look at the bad, I look at the good. The bad and good in them. Thank God that I am here, and I saw the great love from all the people. I want to tell you that, thank God, I am fine and I came out with the least damage. God willing, in no more than 5 days, I will be present with my fans in my concerts because I live by the love of the people who enjoy my voice.”

Last Saturday, Saad was involved in a serious car accident on the Cairo/Ain Sokhna Road.

"Apologies to all colleagues and media professionals for the current communication difficulties. Thank you for your great concern. Ahmed Saad will be alright, God willing, after his serious car accident," the superstar’s elder brother and fellow actor, Amr Saad, wrote in a Facebook post.

He concluded the post asking for prayers for his brother.
