Egyptian singer-actor Ahmed Saad has been cast as the lead in a feature film for the first time.
In a recent interview with Billboard Arabia, Saad said: "I will be recording songs for a film, which I'll do as part of my first film role." I'll star in a movie for the first time next year,".
This is not the superstar’s first venture in acting. He has appeared in several works including the 2011 TV series "We're the Students" and the 2017 film "Ala Wadaak."
Saad also played a fictionalized version of himself in multiple works including Season 6 of the comedy series "Al-Kabir Awy" as well as films "Abu Nasab", "Sukkar," and "Rocky El Ghalaba".
The superstar, born on August 20, 1981, is the younger brother of actor Amr Saad and chemist Sameh Saad.
He is one of the foremost Arabic pop stars across the Middle East. This accolade is a testament to his enduring artistic journey spanning two decades, reaching its pinnacle in the past two years with the widespread acclaim of his hits across various music platforms.
He began his music career in 2003 with the release of his first album “Ashkey La Meen".
Saad is also known for his singles "Aleky Eyuoun," "El Melouk," "Kol Youm" "Ya Layaly," "Ader Akmel," and "Ekhtayaraty," "Wasa3 Wasa3".
He also performed several movie and TV series soundtracks.
