Egyptian actor Ahmed Rizk has signed on to star in the TV series "Harb al-Gebali".
It also stars Sawsan Badr, Ryad El Khouly, and Salah Abdallah.
"Harb al-Gebali" is directed by Mohammed Osama and is pided into 3 parts, each costing of 15 episodes.
Principal photography is slated to begin at the end of June.
Rizk is also set to star in the TV series “Lam El Samasya”, starring Mona Zaki.
The series was initially set to screen in Ramadan 2022 drama marathon but was pushed back to Ramadan 2023 following a number of the series’ cast being infected with the coronavirus, which led to the repeated postponement of the start of filming.
The series features a star-studded ensemble cast that also includes Nardine Farag, Esaad Younis, Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Rizk, Rakeen Saad, and others.
Director Karim El Shenawy will helm the series from a script penned by prominent screenwriter Mariam Naoum.
Rizk was last seen in the hit 2021 TV Series “Cairo-Kabul”.
The series also stars Khaled El Sawy, Tarek Lotfy, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Hanan Motawie, Sherine, Nabil El Halfawy, Nour Mahmoud, Khaled Kamal, Hosny Sheta, Kareem Sorour, Abdulraheem Hassan, Caroline Khalil, and others.
It is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Hossam Ali.
“Cairo-Kabul” revolves around 3 stories about the terrorist acts and plots that Egypt and the Arab region faces.
The series centers around 3 main characters: a journalist (Abdel Wahab), a National Security officer (El Sawy), and a terrorist (Lotfi).
