Sada El Balad's TV host Ahmed Mousa called on the Egyptians in London to protest against Christie's auction house's intention to sell Tutankhamun's bust.

Speaking during his TV show "Ala Mas'olity", Mousa said that Qatar is among the parties who are interested in buying the Egyptian artifact through an intermediary.

Mousa denounced UK's insist on selling the Egyptian antiquities at the auction houses and using their revenue for hosting terrorists.

Earlier in June, the spokeswoman of the British Embassy in Cairo said: "The UK recognises the importance of preserving and protecting Egyptian cultural heritage. The UK’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) is in close contact with the Egyptian Embassy in London and Christie's over the forthcoming auction of the head of Tutankhamen and other Egyptian antiquities on the issue."

"The UK has robust legislation and processes in place to protect cultural property and Christie's is in direct contact with the Egyptian authorities over the concerns that have been expressed regarding the sale," the spokeswoman added.

The British auction house claimed that it legally got the Egyptian artifact but it didn't show any documents proving its right to possess the statue.
