Ahmed Malek Boards "Welad Rizk 4"

Tarek Al Eryan says the script for the fourth installment of the "Welad Rizk" franchise is already in the process of being written.

The entry will take the audience back to the early days of the four siblings, giving the characters new dimensions and revisiting their past before the events of the previous films.

He added that Ahmed Malek has been tapped to play the role of a young Reda, whose older version is played by Ahmed Ezz

Ahmed Ghozzi is being eyed to play the young version of Al Shayeb, whose older character is played by Asser Yassin. 

Directed by Al Eryan and written by Salah El Gehiny, "Welad Rizk" first premiered in 2015 with an all-star ensemble cast that includes Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Karim Qassem, Mohamed Mamdouh, Ahmed Dawood, and Ahmed El Fishawy.

The third entry in the franchise, titled “Welad Rizk 3: El Qadya”, premiered on June 12 and shattered records upon theatrical release, becoming the highest-grossing Egyptian film of all time.

The pic is co-produced by RAW Entertainment, Synergy Films, Film Square, and G Creations.

Before the release of "Welad Rizk 3", the franchise had been extended to 4, 5, and 6 installments.
