Egyptian actor Ahmed Magdy is the latest addition to the buzzy cast of actress Mai Omar's upcoming TV Series "El Set Mona Lisa".
It consists of 15 episodes and hails from director Mohamed Ali and scriptwriter Mohamed Sayed Bashir.
"El Set Mona Lisa" is set to screen on MBC Masr during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
Magdy participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Athena”.
Rounding out the cast are Riham Hagag, Sawsan Badr, Nabil Eissa, Mahmoud Kabil, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Omar El Said, Jana Ashkar, and Tamer Hashem.
Written by Ayman Salama and directed by Yahya Ismail, the drama sheds light on the impact of social media and analyzes its negative effects.
Born on May 4, 1986, Magdy is a multi-talented artist, actor, filmmaker, the CEO of Garage Art Production, a former UNFPA Champion, and a Goodwill water ambassador for the European Union.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, then joined the Al-Tamy Theater Troupe and worked as an actor and assistant director for three years. His debut film was the independent short documentary "Magra Al-Seil" (Riverbed) in 2007.
As an actor, Magdy starred in highly acclaimed films such as "Asafeer Al-Neel" ("Birds of the Nile"), "Microphone," "The Gate of Departure," "EXT. Night," "Seif Tagreeby," "Nawara," "Mawlana," and "Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim," for which he won the best actor award at the Trophées Francophones du Cinéma in Sénégal.
He is also best known for his roles in the hit TV series "Al AHD: Al Kalam Al Mubah," "El Beyout Asrar," "La Tottfe' Al Shams," "Le A'la Se'r," "Wahhet El Ghoroub," "Family Size," and "El Anesa Farah," an Egyptian adaptation of the US TV show "Jane The Virgin".
