Ahmed Helmy-Led Play "Bani Adam" to Be Staged in KSA on January 23

Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy's play "Bani Adam" will be staged from January 23 to February 1 at Baker Alshadi Theatre in Boulevard City.

The cast also stars Mostafa Khater, Hamdy Al Marghany, Eman El-Sayed, Mohamed Gomaa, Yasmina El Abd, and more.

It is set to debut within the activities of the 5th edition of the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.

In a comedic setting, the play follows: "Najy and his daughter Farah, who inherit an abandoned theater haunted by a bitter spirit named "Ghandour." As Farah strives to revive the theater, Ghandour takes on a human form to sabotage her efforts, only to discover a new side of humanity he never knew before."

Helmy made his last theatrical appearance in the play "Memo".

The cast also includes Hannah El Zahed, Hana Shiha, Ahmed Rizk, Hamdy Al Marghany, Mohamed Radwan, and others.

"Memo" marks the second collaboration between Helmy and El Zahed after working on the 2023 radio series ”Aleisma fi Yadi”.

The play also witnesses the acclaimed actor’s first time to appear on stage in 21 years as he made his last participation in a theatrical production in 2001’s play, “Hakim Oyoun”.

"Memo" was first staged on February 20, 2023, during the activities of the Riyadh season, in Saudi Arabia. 

Helmy, born on November 18, 1969, started his career in 1993 on the Egyptian Satellite Broadcast.

He made his acting debut in the 1998 acclaimed film “Aboud Ala El Hodoud” (Aboud on the Borders), co-starring with Alaa Waley El Din, and Karim Abdel Aziz.

Thereafter, Helmy quickly made a jump to leading roles in films such as “Omar 2000”, “El Nazer” (2000), “El Selem We Al Tho’ban” (2001), and "Sahar El Layali" (2003).
