Ahmed Helmy-Led "Lessa Heta" Sets Shooting Start Date, Eid al-Adha Release

Production on Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy's upcoming comedy film "Lessa Heta" is set to begin shooting in a month and a half.

In the film, Helmy portrays a thug who suffers from mental disorders.

"Lessa Heta" contains action scenes and discusses several issues related to mental disorders and how to treat and overcome them.

It is scripted by Sherif Naguib, directed by Ahmed Alaa, and set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon.أحمد حلمي في فيلم واحد تاني

Helmy made his last onscreen appearance in the 2022 film “Wahed Tani”.

It also stars Ruby, Amr Abdel Gelil, Sayed Ragab, Mohamed Al Tagy, Nesreen Amin, Ahmed Malek, Nour Ehab, Amr Wahba, Mahmoud Hafez, and more.

Director Mohamed Shaker Khodeir helmed the film from a script by Haitham Dabbour.

Helmy, born on November 18, 1969, started his career in 1993 on the Egyptian Satellite Broadcast.

He made his acting debut in the 1998 acclaimed film “Aboud Ala El Hodoud” (Aboud on the Borders), co-starring with Alaa Waley El Din, and Karim Abdel Aziz.

Thereafter, Helmy quickly made a jump to leading roles in films such as “Omar 2000”, “El Nazer” (2000), “El Selem We Al Tho’ban” (2001), and "Sahar El Layali" (2003).
