Egyptian actor and screenwriter Ahmed Fahmy will return as a writer for the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2007 film "Keda Reda".

“Ahmed Helmy contacted me for "Keda Reda 2" which was before 'Sero Bataa', 'Al Saffah' and 'Mr. X'. I told him that it will be difficult and to bring someone else, however, he told me to take my time and we were making a film and will do it because it achieved great success,” he said.

The sequel arrives 15 years after the release of the romantic comedy film.

It starred Ahmed Helmy, Menna Shalaby, Lotfy Labib, Khaled El Sawy, Youssef Dawoud, and others. Ahmed Nader Galal directed the pic from a screenplay by Fahmy.

Based on the 2003 American movie "Matchstick Men". The film followed 3 identical triplets: Semsem (an introvert), Bibo (a soccer fan), and Prince (a hardshell guy). The trio, all

named Reda for illegal reasons and compete to win the heart of one beautiful girl (Shalaby).

Fahmy, born on November 6, 1980, graduated with a degree in political science and economics.

He began his acting career during his college years through an independent film group "Tamr Hendy", which produced many satirical films, among the most famous "Regal la Ta3rif Elmostaheel" a parody of the Egyptian movie "Eltareeq Ila Ilat" which quickly spread on the internet and was screened in many local cafes.

The parody had drawn the interest of writer Mohamed Hefzy, who was making the transition into movie production, at the time.

After meeting with Fahmy, Hefzy decided to produce his work "Affiche we Tashbeeh," a TV series that made fun of various Egyptian films in each episode. Later on, Hefzy produced Fahmy's film "Waraqit Shafra", which Fahmy wrote and starred in, along with his Tamr Hendy co-stars and long-time friends Hisham Maged and Chico.

The trio won the Critic's choice award in 2003 for Best New Actors. Fahmy is also known for writing the script of "Keda Reda" starring Ahmed Helmy, as well as "Sameer, Shaheer, & Baheer" in which the Tamr Hendy trio co-starred.
