Egyptian actor Ahmed El Fishawy has shared his new strategy for his films in the next ten years.

He stated that he will only make comedy films and will not present the action genre because the audience no longer accepts them and is tired of them.

"I will present only comedy during the next 10 years as the events taking place around us put the audience in great need of comedy, and it is clear that they are tired of the battle and action films" El Fishawy added.

In April 2023, the actor announced that he would no longer star in any TV productions and disclosed that he had settled on that resolution 10 years ago.

He pointed out that the 2013 TV series, "Bedoun Zikr Asma" (Without Mentioning Names), served as “The Final Chapter” and noted he decided to devote himself permanently to the cinema during the series' premiere.

El Fishawy will be seen next in the film “Adel Mesh Adel”.

The cast also includes Shery Adel, Mohamed Radwan, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, Mostafa Abo Sriea, Nawal, Badria Tolba, Dina, and more.

The film is scripted by Adham Saeed and Hossam Kamal, directed by Ahmed Yusri, and produced by Algorio Film Production.

It marks the third collaboration between El Fishawy and Yusri after the films "Ritsa" (2021) and "45 Days" (2007).

"Adel Mesh Adel" is set to hit theatres on January 24.

El Fishawy, born November 11, 1980, is the son of acclaimed actress Somaya El Alfy and late veteran actor Farouk El Fishawy.

He started acting at the age of nine starring alongside his father in “Al Morshed”, then took part in small film roles including 1998's “El Batal” (The Champion) with iconic actress Ahmed Zaki.

In 2000, El Fishawy received his acting breakthrough in legendary actress Faten Hamama's TV series “Wagh Elqamar” (The Moon's Face). His first lead role in a drama in 2004's "Afarit El Sayala” (The Ghosts of Sayala) and his film debut in 2005's “El Hasa Elsabaa” (The Seventh Sense).

The actor's most successful roles include the multi-season sitcom “Tamer we Shawqyea” (Tamer and Shawqeya) and the thriller/drama film “45 Youm” (45 Days).
