Egyptian actor Ahmed El Fishawy and his wife Nadya El Kamel have split up after nearly three years of marriage.
El Kamel announced Wednesday the separation in a lengthy Instagram post without giving further details.
She added that they had split up on December 21, noting that she would greatly miss him as a friend.
The news shocked the fans since the duo appeared together in great harmony at the Cairo Film Festival about a month ago.
El Kamel had also deleted her photos with El Fishawy on the platform, while he kept their photos together.
She asked everyone not to get involved in the matter out of respect for the feelings of her children and their families, especially since she lived with her former husband for four years and was the best wife and companion, and gave all her love and sacrifice.

The couple, tied the knot in July 2018 in a private ceremony amid the attendee of their friends and family, after three months of engagement.

On May 22, El Fishawy announced the engagement in an interview with TV presenter Sarah Dundarawy on “Al Arabiya” news TV channel, without giving further details.
On September 25, the couple had stolen the spotlight in their first public appearance after they tied the knot at the Egyptian film “Eyar Nari” (Gunshot) world premiere at El-Gouna Film Festival 2nd edition.
El Kamel's red carpet appearance sparked a lot of controversy on social media, with many users comparing her to American media personality Kim Kardashian.
