Egyptian actor Ahmed Amin and Jordanian actress Rakeen Saad's upcoming TV series has been retitled from “Mozakarat Nashal” to "Al Nas."
The drama consists of 15 episodes and is inspired by the book "Mozakarat Nashal" (Memoirs of a Pickpocket) by historical researcher Ayman Othman.
Hossam Ali directs the series from a script adapted by Sherif Abdel Fattah, Abdel Rahman Gawish, and Wagih Sabry.
Set in the 1930s, "Al-Nas" features Ahmed Amin as a pickpocket vagabond, who seeks to quit crimehood and repent, only to find himself involved in political conflicts and mysterious events and turns from a mere pickpocket into a popular hero whose tale is passed down through generations.
"Al Nas" is set to be screened during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
Saad participated last Ramadan with the historical epic TV series “Al-Hashashin”. Amin made his last participation in the drama marathon as a cameo appearance in Akram Hosny's 2022 TV series "Baba Geh".
