The speaker of the eastern Libyan parliament, Aguila Saleh, headed to Cairo, on Sunday, to hold a meeting with the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Richard B. Norland, who is currently visiting Cairo.
“The U.S. ambassador will also meet a high-ranking Egyptian security official,” sources told Russia Today.
Meanwhile, U.S. Ambassador to Libya confirmed that views will be exchanged with the Egyptian authorities to reach the best approach to support the anticipated Libyan-Libyan dialogue in Egypt.
He also thanked the Egyptian authorities for holding successful talks in Hurghada on security in Libya.
