Africa Innovates .. Cairo Innovates, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology concludes the sixth session of the two-day International Cairo Exhibition of Innovation this evening.
Over the past five years, the slogan of the exhibition was “Cairo innovates“, but this year Egypt took over the presidency of the African Union, so the slogan of the exhibition is “Africa innovates” as South African states is participating in the exhibition such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Mauritania, Uganda, and Nigeria.
The number of countries participating in this exhibition exceeded representatives from 26 countries around the world- Italy, France, Germany, Britain, China, India, Oman, UAE, Malaysia, Palestine, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Cuba, Pakistan, Cambodia , Bhutan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology will present the following awards to the winners during the second day of the exhibition. There are 100 financial awards range between LE 10-30 thousand for (the best inventions, the best graduation projects, the best invention for technology transfer and marketing offices, the best innovation project, the best start-up technology companies, the small innovator award for those less than 16 years), according to the decisions of the members of the jury which consists of 8 specialized scientific and economic committees with more than 50 professors, experts and economists, with total funding up to LE 1 million.
The best ten innovations at the exhibition in the fields of agriculture, food, energy, water, industry, electronics, and artificial intelligence will qualify for the final stages of TV program: Cairo Innovates.
