Afghanistan's first lady receives Egyptian delegation

KABUL, AUGUST 3 ( SEE) Hany Salah Egyptian Charge d'affaires along with members of the Egyptian Embassy in Kabul met on Thursday with Afghanistan's First Lady Rula Ghani to discuss ways to support Egypt's contributions to civil society and Afghan women's organizations.

The First Lady showed great interest in the transfer of Egyptian experience in the treatment of childhood cancer to Afghanistan.

The meeting also reviewed the pivotal role of Al-Azhar in spreading the teachings of moderate Islam in Afghanistan.

Ghani called for increasing the number of scholarships offered to Afghan girls at Al-Azhar University in Cairo.
