Adele has canceled her Las Vegas residency dates through March due to her battle against illness.

In a post on social media, the pop star wrote that she was sick at the end of the last series of shows as part of the residency, and that she didn’t have full time to recover.

“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency,” she wrote. “I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice,".

“And so on Doctors orders,” she added, “I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining 5 weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information asap.”

Adele was initially scheduled to kick off her Weekends with Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in January 2022.

However, a day before the residency began, the singer revealed that she had to postpone the start of the shows due to production delays and many on her team battling coronavirus.

That July, she announced the rescheduled shows, then slated to begin in November and run through March 2023.

At the end of its run, Adele announced another leg of the residency to take place between June and November 2023.

Then, in October, she extended the residency to June 2024 with an additional 32 dates.

She is currently scheduled to resume the Weekends with Adele residency on May 18, with nine additional shows taking her through its finale in mid-June.
