Prominent Egyptian actor, “El Zaeem” Adel Emam has been mysteriously out of the spotlight for much of the year, sparking a flurry of speculation about his health and whereabouts. The rumors about the 83-year-old star have been circulating for the past three years.

The veteran actor, whose career has spanned over six decades, has once again been subject to a death hoax.

In a statement on Monday, producer Essam Emam, the brother of the actor, debunked the rumors, noting that all these claims are baseless and he was in good health.

"We are saddened by the many rumors that claimed the death or illness of the great star in the past period," he said.
