Prominent Egyptian actor, “El Zaeem” Adel Emam and his younger son, actor Mohamed Emam will begin shooting soon their new film "Al Wad W Aboh".
In a statement on Wednesday, film producer Esam Emam, the brother of the acclaimed actor, shared the film is slated to hold final preparations and begin production after Mohamed's new film “Amohom” hits cinema during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon.
The producer added that "Al Wad W Aboh" is a comedy film that is centered around the relationship between father and son at the present time.
The film was first announced in 2019 and is slated to be helmed by Adel’s older son, Ramy.
"Al Wad W Aboh" marks the acclaimed actor's comeback to the big screen after 12 years of absence. He made his last cinematic appearance in the 2010 film, “Alzheimer's”.
The producer also addressed the death rumors that have been circulating around the iconic actor and noted that he was fine and in good health.
El Zaeem’s latest artistic work is the 2020 TV series “Valentino”.
The acclaimed actor, born on May 17, 1940, is one of the most iconic figures in Arab cinema. He was born in Mansoura on May 1 but moved to Sayyed Zeinab at an early age with his family where he grew up. He co-starred in over 100 movies, TV series, and plays.
