The California fires have devastated thousands of residents across the Los Angeles area, where flames have engulfed highly populated neighborhoods.
A fire in the Pacific Palisades, an affluent neighborhood between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, had grown to more than 11,800 acres and displaced many Hollywood stars.
In the aftermath of the fires, many celebrities like Diane Warren, Jamie Lee Curtis, General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison, and Mandy Moore have taken to social media to give updates on their well-being. Some, like Warren and Mathison, have said they lost their homes in the fires.
As photos of the destruction of the Pacific Palisades have surfaced, TMZ reports homes of stars like Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have been destroyed. The site also notes Anna Faris lost her home in the fires.
Mandy Moore shared a video of Altadena, California following the destruction of the fire in Eaton Canyon.
“I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets). Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family,” Moore shared on Instagram. “My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”

Billy Crystal confirmed that the family home in the Pacific Palisades, which he shared with his wife Janice and their two daughters, has burned down.
“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy,” the actor said in a statement to the media.
“Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.
“We pray for the safety of the firefighters and first responders. The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”
Paris Hilton’s Malibu beach house also was destroyed in the fire, something she watched on Live TV. The night before, Hilton shared a post on her Instagram Stories where she said, “Praying for LA/California.”
Diane Warren shared on social media that her beach house was lost in the fires and posted a picture she had taken days before.
“This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house. I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite,” Warren posted on Instagram. “There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”

Kate Beckinsale shared a post of the devastating images of the Pacific Palisades community where she lived most of her childhood.
“My daughter and I lived there for most of her childhood and most of her childhood is gone,” she wrote. “Her primary school, every shop or restaurant we used to go to with my parents and Michael’s parents -and devastatingly, most of her friends homes. My heart is broken.”
She continued, “The Pacific Palisades is a community very unusual to find in Los Angeles, heavy on families with young children and pets. I’m weeping for all of the people and pets involved, so many of them I know. My heart is breaking for the families who have lost everything, and the people and their animals, not to mention the horses and all the wild animals, people’s businesses and livelihoods. This is just like hell.”
