Most of the pilgrims are currently in Mecca, while some are waiting in Madinah preparing for heading to Mecca just before the pilgrimage season starts.

Saudi authorities are taking strict security measures in the holy city to ensure pilgrims' safety before the rituals begin.

The pilgrimage comes this year at a time of warm weather, so the Saudi authorities have taken measures to help moisten the atmosphere for pilgrims, including spraying water in the streets and provide air conditioners in various buildings.

It is noteworthy that the performance of the Hajj awaits millions of Muslims from around the world, so Saudi Arabia made its preparations for the success of the Hajj season this year to ensure the safety of pilgrims. The Kingdom has adopted many measures in all fields to serve Muslim visitors.

These preparations included the provision of 19,000 buses to transport nearly 2 million Muslims from the Saudi General Cars Syndicate (GCS).

According to the Kingdom’s “2020 Vision”, the General Authority of Customs and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah are cooperating in providing a comfortable stay for visitors them from the Hajj and Umrah halls from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah to their residences.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah supervises and follows up on all the services provided to the pilgrims, starting with receiving them, housing them, and meeting their needs in Mecca, Medina, and the holy places.
