Abol Fateh-Uzbek Diplomatic Delegation Discuss Ways to Enhance Cultural Rapprochement

On Tuesday, the Supervisor of the prominent Sada El Balad network Elham Abol Fateh met with Atabek Alimov, cultural attaché of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, and Feruza Galieva, assistant consul-general, and their accompanying delegation.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of the recent talks between Parliament Deputy Speaker, MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein, and Uzbek Minister of Culture and Tourism to Cairo, on the sidelines of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Egypt last week.

During the meeting, they reviewed various aspects of Egyptian-Uzbek relations, notably with regard to the bilateral political and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The attendees also highlighted the importance of enhancing cultural rapprochement between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Uzbek cultural attaché s handed out Abol Fateh a copy of the tourist guide to Uzbekistan, as well as an index of the influential scholars of Bukhara and Samarkand in Islamic history, in addition to a photo album of the famous tourist attractions left by the rulers of Uzbekistan in the Central Asian region, including the Taj Mahal in India.

On her part, The supervisor of the Sada El Balad network hailed the great contributions of Uzbek scholars to human history, stressing that she had studied and read a lot about " Ibn Kathīr " and Al-Khwarizmi "and the imams" Bukhari and Al-Tirmidhi, and "Sultan Saif al-Din Qutuz", the leader of Ain Jalut battle. She also voiced its pleasure to enhance cooperation between Cleopatra Media and the Uzbek side, especially in the field of Documentaries, and historical and tourist films.

She said: “Egypt considers Uzbekistan an important partner in Central Asia, adding: that the relationship between both countries is based on the similarities between them, especially culture.

Atabek Alimov said that the number of Uzbek tourists to Egyptian destinations reached 40,000 visitors in 2022, in addition, he reviewed their interests in different forms of tourism in Egypt such as cultural, religious, and beach tourism.

In the same context, Abol Fateh invited the Cultural Attaché and his delegation to visit the Sada El Balad studios to inspect the massive production of the network and the application of its strategy for raising awareness towards Islamic and Arabic civilization.

On his side, the Cultural Attaché asserted the importance of the Arabic language, and Muslim thinkers such as Al Imam Al Bukhari to the Uzbeks.

He also pointed out to the importance of the friendship between the Egyptian and Uzbek parliament and their role in supporting the bilateral ties for selecting the best ambassadors for the Uzbek Culture in the world, including Egypt.
