King Abdullah II Looks Forward to Establishing Egypt, Iraq, East-Med Partnership

Jordan's King Abdullah II expressed on Wednesday his hope to establish a partnership with Iraq, and Egypt to enhance ties with the East-Meditteranean region.

His speech came during a trilateral summit between Jordan, Cyprus, and Greece that hosted in Athens. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, alongside the Jordanian king.

King Abdullah II said that the summit provides the three countries with a chance to enhance the economic ties between them.

On his part, Anastasiades asserted that the Athens summit is a valuable occasion for cooperation for achieving the hopes of the three states' people.

In the same context, Mitsotakis highlighted that Greece succeeded in preserving its relations with Cyprus and Jordan during the hard crisis of COVID-19.

This round of trilateral talks is the third between them as the first one was held in Nicosia in 2018, while the second was hosted at Jordan in 2019.
