Iconic Swedish band ABBA released on Friday the highly-anticipated album, "Voyage".

The new studio album arrives after a nearly-40-year hiatus.

The Swedish band, which consists of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, recorded the 10-track album after reuniting to film a concert performance featuring "ABBA-tar" versions of themselves.

ABBA are set to return to the stage as virtual avatars at a purpose-built venue in east London. The avatars will also be joined on stage by a 10-piece live band.

"Voyage" marks their ninth released studio album and is the follow-up to the 1984 album "The Visitors".

The album was recorded at Benny's studio in Stockholm.

After a four-decade hiatus, the band finally announced a reunion and new album in September. They also released singles "I still have faith in you" and "Don't shut me down".

"It's ARRIVED with only 40 years delayed," one fan tweeted, while another said: "WE HAVE A NEW ABBA ALBUM".

ABBA became one of the most successful pop acts in history after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with “Waterloo“.

They went their separate ways in 1982 at the height of their career, and during their final years, Bjorn porced his band member Agnetha and Benny and Frida separated as well.

It was revealed last year that the Swedish quartet was set to release five new songs in 2021.

ABBA performed together for the first time in 2016 at a private event, which marked the 50th anniversary of the first meeting between songwriters Bjorn and Benny.

They announced in 2018 their plans to record new music for the first time in 35 years.

However, the plans for a comeback have been in place since 2019 but were derailed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
