A large delegation of senior experts from the Russian Ministry of Culture is slated to arrive in Cairo on July 16-17 to discuss the best ways to enhance their cooperation in various domains.
The talks will focus on promoting the tourism sector and boosting cultural exchange programs — including antiquities, museums - libraries, cinema, theatre, and music.
The delegation will discuss the Russian preparations for Cairo Book Fair (CBF) and Egypt’s art festivals in a bid to foster communication between Russian translators and their counterparts in the Egypt book market.
To mark the Russian-Egyptian Year, a series of cultural activities will be held at the Russian Cultural Centre during their upcoming visit in the presence of Russian Ambassador Georgiy Borisenko, who will give a speech on this occasion.
With strong participation from the Russian Ministry of Culture, the visit is intended to demonstrate the importance of Egypt to Russia and their keenness to enhance their relations in all domains, especially in the cultural sector, the Director of Cultural Activities at the centre Sherif Gad pointed out.
