8th Aswan International Women's Film Kicks off

In a bid to promote Egypt's tourism, the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion is organizing the eighth edition of the Aswan International Women's Film Festival, which runs until April 25th, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the National Council for Women, the European Union, and various public and private organizations.

The festival was opened by Dr. Nevine El Kelany, Minister of Culture, and was attended by various dignitaries, including the Governor of Aswan, the European Union Ambassador to Cairo, and the President of the National Council for Women. The festival features 76 films from 35 countries and has drawn notable artists and cinema figures from different Arab and foreign countries.

Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, emphasized the festival's importance in highlighting the role of women in society and promoting Aswan's diverse touristic and archaeological components. 

He also noted that the festival provides a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about the city's ancient history and cultural heritage.
