800 Protesters Attack Police in Germany's Frankfurt

Today, German media reports indicated that police officers in Frankfurt were attacked by nearly 800 people.

According to the German newspaper "Bild", on Saturday local time, a patrol was on the famous shopping street Zell when it was suddenly attacked.

Towards Hauptwach Square in the center of the country, where the attack continued, according to the officials, the number of attackers reached 800, and they threw bottles, stones and eggs at the police.

The situation was controlled with the arrival of reinforcements, and nine people were arrested, but eight of them were eventually released "for lack of reasons for detention."
