5th Cairo Art Fair to Host Farouk Hosny Exhibition at GEM Next Saturday

Azad Art Gallary will organize a solo exhibition for the Iconic Artist, Former Minister of Culture, and the Founder of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts Farouk Hosny, as part of the 5th Cairo Art Fair at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

Hosny will exhibit 20 new artworks during the exhibition.

Considered one of the most iconic contemporary artists, Hosny's works were displayed in the most prestigious art platforms like the Metropolitan Museum, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, Fort Lauderdale in Miami, the National Geographic Museum, the National Museum of Vienna, le Vittoriano Museum in Rome, Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, Tokyo Art Museum in addition to several Arab and Egyptian Museums.

Moreover, he was introduced, and praised by various art icons around the world like Gessiea Winegar, Dan Cameron, Philippe de Montebello of the USA, Michel Noridany from France, Enzo Bilardello, Giovanni Carladente Lorenza Trucchi and Maria Trenga Beneditti from Italy, Mokhtar Al Attar, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Mostafa Al Razaz of Egypt, and Farouk Youssef of Iraq.

Mohamed Youness, the founder of Cairo Art Fair, said that the participation of Hosny is a significant addition to the event as Hosny is an outstanding figure for arts and culture. He added that this addition is significant for the event's audience due to their various interests, and nationalities, highlighting that Cairo Art Fair is one of the most important art fairs in the world and it would reflect the richness of the Egyptian art scene.

He asserted that the event audience would have the opportunity to see the artworks of Hosny during their presence in Cairo.
