At least four people have died in severe flooding triggered by thunderstorms in the US state of Kentucky, prompting Governor Andy Beshear to declare a state of emergency.
Beshear said three victims were reported in Madison County and one in Jackson County, warning that additional rainfall could worsen conditions across the state.
The National Weather Service has issued flash flood warnings for parts of Kentucky and neighboring Indiana amid heavy downpours.
Emergency crews remain on alert as forecasters warn of further flooding risks in the coming days.
