32nd Arab Music Festival to Take Place Nov. 1

Egypt's Opera House revealed that the 32nd edition of Arab Music Festival will take place in its venues between 1 and 15 November, hosting dozens of concerts for some of the most acclaimed Egyptian and Arab singers, bands and instrumentalists.

The event will feature workshops and competitions in singing, song writing and instrumental performance, including categories for youngsters, kids and special needs talents in addition to newly added category for non music reader instrumentalist talents.

The idea behind the festival is to preserve the musical heritage of the region and pass it on to new generations, according to Magdy Saber, President of the Cairo Opera House.

The program of this year will feature famous Arab singers like Lebanese Ragheb Alama, Tunisian Saber Rebaï, and Medhat Saleh among other singers and soloists and bands from Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia among other Arab countries.
