Early Sunday, WWE introduced its highly anticipated Premium Live Even (PLE) Royal Rumble.
The event was full of superstar appearances for both 30-person matches for men and women.
In addition, there were two title matches during the event.
Before the event, WWE did a great job in building the feuds and the ties that would push matters ahead in the 30-man match, and 30-women match.
The show started with the 30-women Royal Rumble which was one of the best women's Royal Rumble matches in terms of participants, and in-ring feuds.
During the match, Naomi made her return to the WWE after a year and more away from the gates of the promotion and she was the second woman to spend the longest time inside the match, in addition, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace made an appearance at the match and had an interaction with Naomi, who feuded against her for the title in TNA.
Liv Morgan made her return to WWE after the injury she sustained last year, and WWE's latest main-roaster woman signing Jade Cargill made a fantastic WWE debut where she had interacted with Bianca Blair with an appearance of the sign of Wrestle Mania, which open the door of a match between Blair and Cargill.
During the match, R-Truth made a funny appearance at the Royal Rumble hindering Valhalla from having her entry.
NXT's Roxanne Perez, and Tiffany Stratton have a great appearance in Royal Rumble.
Bayley won the Royal Rumble which was a favorable choice by the WWE fans, and she stayed inside the ring for more than an hour and two minutes, breaking last year record of Rhea Ripley.
Next came the Fatal 4-Way match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship between the Champion Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight.
The match was not that stacked! However, it had some nice spots like the series of RKOs by Orton, and Reigns' spears.
It was deeply expected that Reigns would retain his title.
After that, Logan Paul defended his US title against Kevin Owens in a very nice and attractive match.
The 30-Man Royal Rumble Match main evented the night. The first two draws of the match were a great start as they had Jey and Jemmie Uso had the face-off which would be the beginning of their expected Wrestle Mania 40.
Andrade made his expected return to WWE after being away from the promotion for three years to have a short escalation with Santos Escobar but it didn't last for long.
The Royal Rumble of Men was poorly executed and there was a problem with the period between the entries. They were short! It was not such entertaining. There were no surprises, or major appearances except for the first participation of CM Punk in over 10 years.
One of the deeply criticized moves is the appearance of Pat McAfee in the Royal Rumble and he eliminated himself in a couple of minutes.
Ricochet also made his return to WWE after sustaining an injury, in addition, Samy Zayn made his return after his time off.
Jey Uso had the longest time in the ring for more than 50 minutes.
NXT's Carmelo Hayes, and Bron Breakker had nice Royal Rumble appearances.
Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Gunther, and Drew McIntyre were the final four in the ring, and both Rhodes and Punk had more than 13 minutes alone in the ring.
Rhodes managed to eliminate Punk in a big shocking move for the fans to win the Royal Rumble for 2024.
After the match, Rhodes pointed to the Wrestle Mania sign, and pointed to Reigns which means that Rhodes would face Reigns in Wrestle Mania to finish his story.
Various fans criticized the victory of Rhodes who won the Rumble back-to-back to be the first to do so in more than 20 years.
