Sharm El Sheikh International Airport received on Sunday the first two TUI flights, coming from the UK, after lifting the travel restrictions on Sharm El Sheikh in September 2019.
The first flight is a charter one from London's Gatwick Airport, carrying 184 passengers, while the second one came from Manchester Airport, carrying 190 passengers.
Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Manar urged to offer all services and facilities for the two planes and finalize the passenger arrival procedures.
TUI officials and passengers expressed their happiness for the warm reception from the airport and South Sinai governorate.
The British tour operator is scheduled to operate three flights per week from Gatwick to the Red Sea resort city in the current winter season till March 25.
In December, about 168 UK tourists landed at the airport for the first time since 2015.

Red Sea Holidays is the first tour operator to return, with charters initially from Birmingham, Manchester, and Gatwick to the Red Sea popular city, according to the Independent.
