A few hours ago the first episode of the long-awaited "Paranormal" screened on the Netflix platform. Since the airing of the episode, the name of the actors and the name of the series are heading the local Twitter trends.
The series is based on the veteran author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik's series "Paranormal" (ما وراء الطبيعة). After the death of Tawfik 2 years, his quotations and reviews of his works went viral then Tawfik's lovers were surprisingly read the news about the production of one of the most influential Arabic literary works for youth.
In the same context, Tawfik's son has posted a positive review of the show. He revealed that turning this book series into a TV show was one of his father's dreams since 2006 but this dream stopped due to production problems.
Furthermore, he liked the performance of the actors and how they succeeded in carrying the spirit of the literary works.
Finally, he asserted that he liked the series after watching it exclusively and he is waiting for the audience's feedback.
Yesterday, Amr Salama, the director of the show posted a controversial post about "how to watch Paranormal."
Salama set a "to-do list" to have the maximum limit of enjoyment, but his rules turned to be a topic of discussion on Social Media that reached to the level of memes, especially for Salama's rule regarding eating while watching the series.
The series stars Ahmed Amin, Razan Gamal, Samaa Ibrahim, and Ahmed Dash. It is considered the first Egyptian original work produced and screened on the Netflix platform.
